Disney MaxPass to Debut July 19 at Disneyland Resort

We are excited to announce that Disney MaxPass will launch July 19, 2017 at Disneyland® Resort. Disney MaxPass will help Guests to maximize their experience at the Resort by providing unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads from the day, and by enabling the convenience of mobile FASTPASS booking and redemption times while in the Parks through the Disneyland App.

Disney MaxPass will be offered for an introductory price of $10 a day.  Guests may purchase Disney MaxPass when they purchase their ticket at Disneyland.com, at the box office, Disney Desks at Resort Hotels or Good Neighbor Hotels, or as an add-on through the Disneyland App once they enter either theme park.  Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders will have the option of purchasing Disney MaxPass for the life of their current passport for $75.  Signature Plus passholders will receive Disney MaxPass at no additional cost, as part of their annual passport entitlement.
Since we announced Disney MaxPass in January, we have added two additional Disney FASTPASS locations at Toy Story Mania and Matterhorn Bobsleds, bringing the total number of attractions to 16. Guests will continue to have the option of Disney FASTPASS service at no additional cost by obtaining a FASTPASS return time with their park admission ticket at attraction FASTPASS kiosks.
The introduction of Disney MaxPass is part of our ongoing commitment to providing Guests with opportunities to customize their experiences and make it even easier than ever to create unforgettable memories. Watch for additional updates and examples of how guests can start enjoying Disney MaxPass on July 19, 2017.

Guests are strongly advised to check the day’s FASTPASS ticket availability and other Park details before purchasing Disney MaxPass or using a Park ticket with Disney MaxPass as FASTPASS tickets for your preferred attractions may not be available at the time of purchase or use.  FASTPASS tickets are limited and availability is not guaranteed. FASTPASS tickets may be obtained only while you are in the Parks and may not be available for entertainment through Disney MaxPass. An experience that does not have Disney FASTPASS® availability at a kiosk will not be available using Disney MaxPass.
The Disney MaxPass benefit will expire at the end of the day or when the Passport it is associated with expires, as applicable. Disney MaxPass is nonrefundable, nontransferable, may not be redeemed for cash and is subject to other restrictions. Price, terms, entitlements, attractions and entertainment are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Passholders who purchase the Disney MaxPass benefit may not use the value of any separate ticket media toward the purchase price of Disney MaxPass.

Additional Disney FASTPASS Locations and New Disney MaxPass Coming to Disneyland Resort

Disney FASTPASS is one of the best ways for your family to make the most of your time at Disney Parks.
This landmark innovation was first introduced at Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort in 1999 as a way to provide Guests with faster access to the fun. Over the years, Disney FASTPASS has evolved and expanded and is used at our theme parks differently, based on the unique ways our Guests enjoy our sites around the world.

Today, we're excited to announce further expansion of Disney FASTPASS coming to two of our most popular attractions — Toy Story Mania in Disney California Adventure® Park and Matterhorn Bobsleds in Disneyland Park! When Disney FASTPASS first launched at Disneyland Resort it was available at four locations, and over the years the number has expanded to a total of 16 attractions with these two new additions.

Later this year, we will launch Disney MaxPass, which will allow Guests to maximize their experience by providing unlimited downloads of their high-resolution PhotoPass images and by enabling the convenience of mobile booking and redemption of Disney FASTPASS return times – all by using the Disneyland App. Disney MaxPass will be available for an introductory price of $10 per person per day. Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders also will have the opportunity to purchase Disney MaxPass on a daily or yearly basis.
You will continue to have the option of Disney FASTPASS service at no cost by obtaining FASTPASSES at attraction FASTPASS kiosks, just as you do today.
The addition of these two new Disney FASTPASS locations and the introduction of Disney MaxPass is part of our ongoing commitment to providing Guests with opportunities to customize their experiences and make it even easier than ever to create unforgettable memories.

What is FastPass+?

What is a FastPass+?

Think of it is a "VIP reservation" for the attraction of your choice!
It allows you to choose 3 rides/attractions in advance, and byass the standby line.

It is designed in 1 hour incriments.

I will use "It's a Small World" for the purpose of this article.

If you choose a FastPass+ for It's a Small World, you will have to also select a time.
If you choose 1pm, then you are actually choosing 1pm-2pm.

You will be able to make another FastPass+ selection for anytime that day, however, it cannot overlap the 1pm-2pm time slot.

How much does it cost?

FastPass+ is included in your park admission.
If you are a guest at a Walt Disney World resort, you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance.

If you are not a Walt Disney World resort guest,  you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance.

Will you make these selections for me?

Yes! Absolutely! Because you have booked your Disney Vacation with Main Street Memories! Yes, we absolutely will!
We are also happy to help you line those up, in proximity, so you are not running all over the parks, "chasing" a FastPass+, nor missing your dining reservations!

What happens after I have used the 3 I have pre-selected?

You will be able to chose another one! After you have used the first 3, or the time on them has passed....you can make another selection...from the mobile app, or you can visit one of the kiosks in the park, and a Cast Member can assist you!

What if I miss a FastPass+? Am I penalized?

No, you are not! That just goes away, and you will be able to choose another one, after you have used the first 3, or the time on them has passed.

Oh no! My FASTPASS+ Attraction is closed!

Let's talk about how this is going to work!

Old FASTPASS System:
When you have a FASTPASS in your possession (ex: 3:15pm), you wait all day, and then return to the ride, only to find that it is now "closed for enhancement" or something magical like that:)

Your mind immediately ques "Holiday Road", and you wonder for just a moment what they would do if you went Clark Griswold on them!

Not any more my friends :)

With the new FASTPASS+ system, you will automatically receive a notification via My Disney Experience. The existing FASTPASS+ will be expired, and you will have 2 options:

Option 1: (and these options may be determined by the time of day in which the attraction closed)

If the attraction closes early in the day, you will be offered a new FASTPASS+ opportunity, for the original attraction, later in the day when it reopens.
OR---
You may select from an alternate listing of 8 FASTPASS+ attractions at that same park, on that same day.

Option 2:

If the attraction closes later in the day, you will be offered the opportunity to choose ANY FASTPASS+ attraction at any of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, on the next day.

Note: You will be notified of the FASTPASS+ attraction closure via My Disney Experience.
It is very important to have access to this during your visit, while inside the parks, via your smart phone, ipad, etc
It is also important to remember to turn those "push notifications" on.

Remember: MyMagic+ is still in the testing phase, and has not been released "live" to all guests. The expected release for MyMagic+ is Fall 2013.
FASTPASS+ is just one feature of MyMagic+ and is a fabulous addition to your Walt Disney World Theme Park experience!

We will be featuring more updates as we have them. All updates can be found here: MyMagic+ info

Disney Fast Pass+ Test

Fun, exciting news!----

At the Walt Disney World® Resort we’re constantly looking for ways to make the Guest experience even better. As a part of these efforts, over the next several months we’ll be testing enhancements to our very popular Disney FASTPASS® service at the Walt Disney World Resort. The test, called Disney FastPass+, will allow a small number of Guests to make Disney FastPass+ selections for some of their favorite experiences at Magic Kingdom® Park before they even leave home.

During this test period, select Guests who are registered to use Disney’s Magical Express service will be offered the opportunity to go online to pre-select four Disney FastPass+ experiences at Magic Kingdom Park. Guests eligible for this test will be notified via mail, at the mailing address provided during the booking process, or you will receive it with your Travel Package from Main Street Memories!

While this exciting concept is currently only in the test phase, we’ll continue to share information on the wide range of new, innovative experiences we will be testing and implementing over the coming year, which are designed to make a Walt Disney World vacation even more magical! Stay tuned to Main Street Memories for more information.

Fastpass with Mickey!!!

Later this spring, face-to-face meetings with Mickey Mouse will move into a permanent new location at Town Square Theater, located inside the current Exposition Hall area at the entrance of Magic Kingdom® Park.

You will be able to obtain a Disney's FASTPASS® ticket specifying a one-hour window when you can return to see the popular character for hugs, photos and autographs -- without waiting in the standby queue. This marks the first time the complimentary, computerized service has been utilized for a character meet-and-greet at any Disney Park.

Inspired by animated shorts such as The Nifty Nineties and Mickey's Grand Opera, this building befits Mickey's stardom -- with a grand-Victorian-theater elevation, including a marquee that glistens with gold-leaf trim and sparkles with lights. Inside, there's a mosaic floor, lush curtains with gold rope tie-backs and polished-brass chandeliers.

Imagineers are creating new elements and surprises for your Clients, including an interactive queue -- with an extra touch of Disney magic -- and highly themed retail shops.
